Gateway n have a host of proposed new thin and light notebooks, the EC14, EC54 and EC58, each packing CULVER Intel processors WiFi b g and up to 8 hours battery life. The EC14 is the gateway babyof the federal government, with a 11.6-inch display, up to 500 GB of storage and up to 8 GB of memory. Meanwhile, EC54 and EC58 both have a 15.6-inch display are one inch thick and have an aluminum housing.

The EC14 can be specified with a choice of Pentium Dual Core, Celeron Dual-Core or Celeron single-core CPUs and comes in Cherry Red and Black NightSky. It is a dual-microphone array, webcam, multi-format memory card reader and the scales at 3.79lbs, HDMI ports, including Gigabit Ethernet and three USB 2.0.

What the EC54, EC58 models, they come in Arctic Silver and Pacific Blue and can be equipped with Core 2 Duo or Pentium Dual-core CPUs. Also they have the same array microphone and webcam, along with a one-touch button, sleep mode, HDMI port, multi-touch trackpad and a DVD drive.

The people on NetbookWereld have a detailed series of comments on the Packard Bell Dot M A Mini-Notebook (also known as a rebadged version of the Gateway LT3100). And as the Gateway version The Packard Bell M A is replaced by moderate ratings, at best.

The laptop has a 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display and a L110 AMD Athlon 64-bit CPU. Moreover packs ATI Radeon X1270 graphics. After NetbookWereld, the battery will run for about 4 hours when surfing the Internet via WiFi, Bluetooth, streaming music, and keep the screen brightness to about 75%. It would not surprise me if you look at 4.5 to 5 hours, if you adjusted the settings a bit.

Gateway (now owned by Acer) hops on the 11.6-inch LCD screen, train (started by Acer) with the LT3100 Netbook.

Yes, that is correct. The LT3100 offers a single-core AMD Athlon 64 L110 CPU runs at 1.2 GHz, ATI Radeon X1270 graphics and 2 GB of memory. The screen has a 1366×768 resolution.

Prices start at $ 399 (MSRP), so that the machine falls into the same category as the current Acer 11.6-inch offering, the Atom-based Aspire One 751st The LT3100 weighs at 3.14 pounds and about an inch thick.

From the looks of the press release, this model comes standard with a six-cell battery, which is good for up to five hours. Gateway has a number of laptops to win on his hands last year with his MC, MD, UC-series and the latest crop of notebooks looking at the ante even more. We take a look at some brand new laptops from Gateway at the Acer stand at Computex this and were very impressed with the stunning designs.

This new laptop also has a 500 GB hard drive, a DVDSuperMulti DL burner, a 17-inch 1440 900 LCD display and a 1.3-megapixel Webcam. P-7808u FX supports Ethernet, Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11a g n connecitivity. It has a 5-in-1 card reader and an ExpressCard slot..

Their slogan is “Beautiful, powerful and easy? You think is better.” Is the TC-line “beautiful?” It’s nice to see, but “beautiful” is a bit of stretch. The back of the 14-inch 16:9 LCD Looks great, with either a red or black shiny surface. The keyboard has the brushed look. The rest of the PC a little bulky.

How powerful is it? Both models, which TC7306u and TC7307u have 2 GHz Intel Pentium Dual-Core processors, and both the 64-bit version of MS Windows Vista Home Premium, it can take advantage of the 4 GB of RAM installed. A 320 GB SATA hard drive is a good size, and they also come with eSATA ports if you have more memory. Gateway even threw in 802.11b, g and Draft-N compatibility. The 14-inch display has a resolution of 1366×768, so you can have up to 720p HD video. It looks like you have the opportunity to improve the laptop from a DVD burner to a Blu-ray drive. This set of data is not bad.

The TC is a bit heavy for “light” to 5.3 pounds each. What is the big difference between the models? It seems as color and where each will be available. The TC7306u has a black finish and will be on Tiger Direct, and the TC7307u Burgundy with its end.
