ThinkPad and IdeaPad lineup of Lenovo notebooks offers also some notebooks to consumers by the value for their money. The latest G530 is a notebook, a nice full-size 15.4-inch display, an Intel Pentium Dual Core or Core 2 Duo processor and 3 GB of RAM with a sub $ 500 price tag has. Design

The design of the notebook is minimal simple but has some subtle elements with rounded edges and matt black lid is smooth to touch. The chassis is of good quality plastics that do not flex not built up under pressure. The overall quality feels very good for a budget notebook. Performance

The standard system comes with a 2.16 GHz Intel Pentium T3400, 3 GB DDR2 RAM. Display

The 15.4-inch display is very good compared to other notebooks in its class. The resolution of the panel is 1280 X 800 with a 16: 10 as opposed to the 16: 9 1366 x 768 widescreen display. The few pixel height of the additional shows some additional lines in the Word documents or Web pages. The colors and contrast are very good in its glossy screen, but glare is a problem, as with other glossy screens on the market. The viewing angles are very good to share the screen with a few of your friends.

Graphics

The system comes with an integrated Intel X4500 graphics chip, which unfortunately does not have enough power to play any 3D game. The graphics performance feels like the netbooks though it has no problem with HD movies in his fine display. Just do not try to play all current games and you will be fine with their graphics capabilities.

Keyboard and touchpad

The keyboard is smooth and quiet and offers good feel when typing on it. The design of the keyboard feels good and durable flex without even a good print is applied to them. Typing at high speed was no problem with this keyboard. The touchpad is also smooth and has no delay. The touchpad buttons are also large and easy to click.

Ports

The port selection is hardly minimal, if other than full-size notebooks, but we do not have with that complain considering their price tag. The headphone and microphone jacks on the front and a Kensington lock slot, Ethernet, VGA, 2 USB and an Express Card slot 54 is on the left. It is a modem, 2 USB, an optical drive and a network jack slot in the right hand side. There are no ports on the back. We would like to have an eSATA or HDMI port, or even see a memory card reader in it.

Audio

The audio quality is okay for a budget notebook like this. It has enough volume to see a movie and hear the dialogue clearly enough, but it must not enough bass or low range sound of music to enjoy it. But the quality of the speakers are pretty good and we are very pleased with our experience, while talking to a via Skype from our friends.

Battery

Battery life is the biggest nuisance for the notebook. It comes with a good size six-cell battery but also can not run the system for more than two hours under heavy usage. With normal use and the brightness of the screen dimmed, we were given a maximum of 3 hours duration. This notebook is clearly not recommended if you think it is a long time where it must not use any electrical outlet nearby.
