Sony introduces an “internet book” netbook

Sony introduces an “internet book” netbook

Sony has finally decided to confirm the popularity of Netbook through the introduction of a …, without admitting that they are introducing. The Sony Vaio W is looking for a fairly standard Netbook with a 10.1 inch display, 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 CPU, 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive and Windows XP. But Sony is calling for a “Web-book” and not a Netbook.

Whatever. It is larger than the Sony Vaio P, has a larger keyboard, a clear resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, and costs considerably less, with a starting price of $ 499, if the United States in August. You can get it what you want.

Apart from the higher than average (though not unknown) Display resolution, there are not too many things to fix the Sony Vaio W apart from Netbook from Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, MSI, Samsung, or. Sony has indicated that the laptop is relatively environmentally friendly and energy-Start 5.0-compliant and EPEAT Gold registered. On the down side, the 3 cell battery is only 3.5 hours, with an optional 6 cell version should be available as well.

It also comes with multimedia and Vaio Media software, you can stream media wirelessly over a home network to DLNA enabled devices such as a PC or console Playstation3.
