Palm could revive the Foleo as a netbook

Palm Netbook Revolution almost expected that with the Palm Foleo. I almost say, for two reasons. First, because during the Palm Foleo was a small device with a keyboard hook, it was not a standalone computer. Instead, it was designed to connect to a mobile phone and Palm as an external display and full QWERTY keyboard for interacting with your data and browsing the Internet. And secondly, because the Foleo never been on the market. Palm introduced the concept and then killed it in 2007 – shortly before the first Asus Eee PC Netbook. But now there is a rumor goes around that the Palm Foleo could again, this time as a separate device WebOS, the same operating system that, prior to the upcoming Palm smartphone is.

If there is any merit to the rumor that the new device would look much like the original Foleo concept, but the software would be different. The device with an ARM processor, which means they would not be able to use Windows, but I imagine hackers who do not like WebOS Operating System could be a way to provide the hardware with Linux. But you may not want. While WebOS is unable to make Linux applications like OpenOffice or Firefox, the right of the bat, the operating system is designed for the easy and simple battery. A stand-alone Palm Foleo could be about 8 hours on a single charge.
