Hewlett-Packard  presented this week details of the Compaq Presario CQ50Z 15.4-inch notebook PC, for the budget-minded customers.

The CQ50Z be configurable with AMD Athlon and AMD Sempron processors, up to 2 GB of RAM and up to 250 GB of hard drive storage. It comes with a DVD burner. The notebook s 15.4 1280-by-800-widescreen display is managed by the NVIDIA GeForce 8200M G graphics.

The HP Compaq Presario CQ50Z also an optional web camera, Altec Lansing stereo speakers, 802.11b g wireless connection, 56k modem, Ethernet LAN, three USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, optional 5-in-1 Media Card Reader, and VGA output.

The laptop weighs about 6.95 pounds and comes with Windows Vista Basic and Vista Home Premium operating system.

HPA s Presario CQ50 Series Notebook PCs will appear later this month.

The company will also CQ40 and CQ45 14.1-inch laptops. The CQ45 is a high-end model with a built-in TV tuner and optional Blu-ray optical drive. There is no word on the availability and pricing for the CQ40 and CQ45.

Asus are one of its laptops with a nice increase in storage in this month. The S121 Netbook that has a 12-inch screen is now an optional 512GB SSD that can be bought.

An Intel processor Z520 can also be used in this Netbook to. The Asus S121 is capable of with an 8 hours on the battery charge and weighs less than 3 kg.

The price …. nothing official yet, but I can not see that it is too cheap with a Solid State Drive, the huge size.

Here is another wrinkle laptop concept and that is very interesting because you could have in a PDA or a mobile phone. The Flexi PDA is waterproof, if merged, and it has some very cool flexible technology. These folds laptop is ideal for outdoor applications, but I’m not sure how they are in a mobile phone.
